About the Happy Hound Hotel

Canine Caregivers

Linda McCoy: Linda grew up with dogs and has worked with them her whole life. She has a varied background, but her first love always was, and still remains, the adored K-9.

A long time desire of Linda's has been to help the dogs left behind in the animal shelters, and give them a second chance at life. She is making that dream come true and will soon be kicking off a new program called "Adoption Through Agility".

Linda shares her life with Ziggy, Newman, Shiloh, Izzy and Ribsey, all of whom are a treasured part of her life.

Notes from Linda:  We have an incredible group of people that work for HHH and I am so proud of everyone that works for us. They are all committed to the dogs, and that is obvious in the way that they care for everyone out here. There is nothing better than seeing the happy faces and the frantic tail wags of the dogs that come out here! It is the most fulfilling and rewarding job I have ever known, and I think everyone who works here feels the same way. Even though the dogs are away from home, we treat them as part of our own family!!

Donna Darragh: When Donna retired from the corporate workplace, she wanted to devote time to what she loved...dogs. She began volunteering at an animal rescue sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals. Working with the dogs and watching them improve each day taught her that each dog, no matter what their history, is special in their own way, and deserves the very best care and respect.

Donna shares her life with 2 rescue dogs, Big Bear, a 13 yr. old Lab mix and her newest addition, Topaz, a German Shepherd mix, from Eastern WA. She thinks they are both just remarkable.

Sarah Witte: As you can see, Sarah is definitely part of the pack. When she's not working here, she's either in school or volunteering with one of the local non-profit groups. She's a real joy to have around and we are thrilled to have her. She is a genuinely happy person and always has a smile on her face. All the dogs just love her! Sarah just had to get one of her own and recently adopted our sweet little foster dog, Ruby Dee. We think they are a match made in heaven.

Noelle Harman: When Noelle decided to give up her 10 yr. career as an attorney and come to work for us, we were very excited. She is learning all the ins and outs of the dog business and is a wonderful addition to our staff. Noelle has a love for photography and will be sending out lots of fun pictures to our clients. She shares her life with her husband, and her 2 happy labs, Luke and Linus.

Melanie Anderson: Mel is learning all the basics of the dog business and she has impressed us with her abilities to care for the dogs. She has a wonderful loving nature with the dogs and she is very gentle and caring. We are very pleased that she wants to be part of the HHH pack!! She lives with 1 very special boy named Max that she loves to brag about!

Andrea Owre: Andy started out as a client and ended up as a staff member. She is a wonderful asset to our HHH team, and we are very pleased to have her on board. She comes from a long line of animal care - her family operated a dog boarding facility back in Montana. Andy shares her life with her husband, her 2 young kids, and big goofy Newfie named Gus that we all just adore!!!

Tara McTavish: Tara recently graduated with her degree in Zoology and has aspirations of continuing on to vet school. She brings knowledge and skill to the staff of HHH along with her happy little Border Collie, Cali. Tara is very personable and professional and not only do the dogs respect her, they think she's pretty great too!!

Sydney Metter: Syd is our youngest pack member and she has a soft, quiet way about her. She is learning all the ins and outs of working with dogs in a group setting and seems to really enjoy herself as part of the pack. Obviously, the dogs really like her too and they are the true tests of character.  Sydney is dog-free at the moment, but we're thinking that the more time she spends out here, that scenario might just change!

Kiyomi Abe: Kiyomi came on board to help us out during the busy summer months and she is truly enjoying herself with all the dogs.  She also works at a snowboarding retail outlet and she's happy to be out here getting some sun and fun with all the happy hounds!!  Kiyomi and her mom are currently looking for a new rescue dog to adopt and bring into their home.

Sarah Brown: Sarah is a student at Western WA University and is here for the summer helping out with all the happy hounds! She has experience with kids as a camp counselor is learning how to transfer all the great knowledge to the 4-legged kids. We're happy to have her as part of our HHH team!

Kelsey Keizur: Kelsey is a junior at UW and came on board to help out during the summer. She has previously worked as a vet tech assistant, and has aspirations of becoming a vet herself. Kelsey wants to learn everything she can about dog behavior and this is just the place to do it! We're glad she's here!

Jim Ingman: Jim, our resident handyman and fix everything guy, has been with HHH for several years now. He helps keep the property looking good and things working the way they're supposed to. And when we're short-handed, he helps out with the dogs too. They all know him as the nice guy who tosses all the tennis balls around.

Ashley Brummett: When Ashley came on board here at HHH, she didn't have much dog experience, but she has learned a whole lot about dog behavior, and is now truly respected as "one of the pack". She has a wonderful way with the dogs and they just adore her. Ashley moved over to Eastern WA to continue her education, but we hope to see her on weekends and holidays. The dogs do too!!
